I underwent ankle fusion surgery and for the next 14 weeks Phoenix (Olive Care) was there for me, helping me, driving me to appointments, taking me to the grocery store, carrying my groceries into the house, taking out the garbage, getting my mail, dropping off library books, taking me to doctor, dentist, chiropractor and physiotherapy appointments – and sometimes for weeks being the only person I actually had contact with. Phoenix was always punctual, reliable and oh so friendly! My appointments at Saint Paul’s Hospital to have my cast changed or stitches removed were scary, painful times that at best would have been boring tedious affairs but Phoenix made the long waits at the cast clinic an enjoyable interlude that I enjoyed so much.
